a. Based on physicians' instructions, hospital patient administrators report daily
to medical group and hospital center MROs the number of patients to be evacuated and
the status of beds available.
b. Medical regulating officers at group, brigade and hospital center headquarters
consolidate reports and forward through channels to MEDCOM MRO.
(1) How many patients from combat zone hospitals, as well as station and
field hospitals in COMMZ, will be moved to each general hospital in COMMZ.
(2)
How many patients from COMMZ general hospitals must. be evacuated
to CONUS.
d. The JMRO with ASMRO on distribution of patients to CONUS hospitals;
forwards information to MEDCOM MRO.
e. The MEDCOM MRO:
(1) Coordinates with AECC for evacuation flights from combat zone to
COMMZ and from COMMZ to CONUS.
(2) Disseminates flight schedules and designations of combat departure
airfields (MASFs) to medical brigade MRO.
(3) Provides hospital center MROs with CONUS flight schedules
designation of departure airfields (aeromedical staging facilities).
f. Brigade, group and hospital center MROs direct ambulance units and
hospitals (combat zone and COMMZ) to move patients to MASFs for evacuation to
general hospitals and to an aeromedical staging facilities for evacuation to CONUS.
