REPLACEMENT OF DECIDUOUS TEETH
a. Replacement Teeth. The 10 deciduous teeth of each jaw are replaced by
the 10 most anterior teeth of the permanent dentition (see figure 4-3) as follows:
(1)
The permanent central incisors replace the deciduous central incisors.
(2)
The permanent lateral incisors replace the deciduous lateral incisors.
(3)
The permanent cuspids replace the deciduous cuspids.
(4)
The permanent first bicuspids replace the deciduous first molars.
(5)
The permanent second bicuspids replace the deciduous second molars.
