Almost identical to F. hepatica except that the granules in the yolk mass are uniformly
distributed.
SIZE: 140 x 80 mcm (large, 3 end to end will fill HPF).
SHAPE: "Hen's egg"; oval.
COLOR: Yellowish-brown.
OPERCULUM: Present, indistinct.
CONTENT: Yolk mass; fills the egg.
ADULT
SIZE: 25 to 45 mm long by 8 to 12 mm wide (very large).
SHAPE: Leaf-like, no cephalic cone.
COLOR: Flesh-colored.
INTESTINAL CECA: Undulating.
TESTES: Dendritic and tandem.
