THE WORKING SIDE OF THE TABLE
It is so obvious that it may not seam worth mentioning that you should stay on
the working side of the table (figures 2-1 and 2-2). Some beginning technologists,
especially in Phase II of initial training, attempt to work from the side near the wall.
They may be tempted to work this way because of left-hand dominance or personal
preference. Working from the encumbered side (that is, the side where the X-ray tube
is connected) is not efficient and can be dangerous. You risk tripping over the cables.
In addition, it is much more difficult to access the patient and equipment from that side.
So, remember to stay on the working side of the table, at all times.
