e. Concept of Operations. The medical laboratory employs its base laboratory
centrally in the COMMZ. The mobile laboratories, however, may be employed
throughout COMMZ, as required, where they may be attached to a medical group or
battalion for administrative support. Attachment of this laboratory must include
consideration of the requirement for this unit to be provided with food service, motor
maintenance, supply, and administrative services. The laboratory maintains liaison with
the laboratories of other technical services when their operations pertain in any way to
the health of the command. The technical supervision of the activities of the mobile
laboratories, when attached to another command, remains with the laboratory
commander.
6-25. OTHER CELLULAR UNITS
In addition to the medical laboratory detachments discussed above, any of the
AMEDD cellular teams organized under the TOE 8-600 series, which were listed and
described briefly in paragraphs 5-26 through 5-35, may be employed in the COMMZ.
