3-10. LIVER FLUKES
A liver fluke is a parasite flatworm that invades the liver and bile ducts of humans
and other animals. This worm requires an intermediate host for its development,
making it digenetic. Two important liver flukes infect humans: the sheep liver fluke
(Fasciola hepatica) and the Chinese liver fluke (Clonorchis sinensis).
