1-15. BASIN (RINGED) STANDS
Double- and single-ring stands (see figures 1-17 and 1-18) are designed to hold
basins of sterile solutions used during the operative procedure. A single-ring stand may
be used to open instruments sets, and so forth. A double-ring stand is placed near the
scrub who uses one basin for rinsing instruments, and so forth, the other for moistening
sponges. Basin stands are equipped with casters to allow them to be moved easily.
