c. Caudad, Caudal, or Inferior. The terms caudad, caudal, or inferior refer to
parts away from the head of the body (toward the feet). If the central ray is angled and
caudad, it is angled away from the head and toward the feet (figure 3-9). ("Cauda" is
Latin for "tail.") Caudal or caudad is the same as inferior or away from the head
(figure 3-10).
