ESTABLISH THE EVACUATION HOLDING AREA
a. Set up Cover. Set up an overhead cover of plastic sheeting. It should be at
least 20 x 25 feet.
b. Place the Cover. The cover should overlap part of the clean treatment area
and part of the protective shelter. When the protective shelter is used, the cover should
be set up on the opposite side of the generator.
SET UP THE HOT LINE
Use wire, engineer tape, or other similar material to mark the entire perimeter of
the hot line. Be sure that the hot line is clearly marked.
ESTABLISH AMBULANCE POINTS
Ambulance points should be established on both the "clean" and "dirty" sides of
the evacuation route.
