STOKES METAL LITTER
The Stokes metal litter (figure 3-7) affords maximum security for the casualty
when the litter must be tilted during evacuation. The litter is used to hoist a casualty
with spinal injury to a hovering helicopter that cannot land. This procedure is
discussed in Lesson 5.
