COLOR: Darker blue.
DENSITY: Band forms; basket forms.
SIZE: 4 to 7 mcm.
VACUOLES: May have multiple.
HEMOZOIN PIGMENT: Dark brown.
INFECTED ERYTHROCYTE: Normal appearance; may be slightly microcytic.
