COMBAT SERVICE SUPPORT CAPABILITIES
a. At Echelon (Level) 1, this unit provides the following approximate annual man-hours of
productive maintenance:

b. The mix and density of repairers at Echelon I (Level) strength are provided
to support the following aircraft quantities: 36 UH-60, 31 OH-58 and 29 AH-1S.
c. Provides aviation intermediate maintenance (AVIM) utilizing quick change
assemblies (QCA), battle damage repair (BDR) and line replacement units (LRU).
d. Maintenance repairs requiring more than two days (48 clock hours) to
accomplish or that exceed the capabilities in item (3) above will be 'passed back' to the
corps AVIM.
e. Avionics and electrical repairs will be limited to 'Quickfix' procedures utilizing
the assemblies outlined in item (3) above and light, mobile, test, measurement, and
diagnostic equipment (TMDE).
f. Provides repair parts supply for all division aircraft, avionics equipment, and
aircraft armament systems. Operates as direct exchange service and maintenance
operational readiness float for selected aviation items.
g. This unit performs aviation unit maintenance and limited maintenance on
organic equipment.
h. This unit is the sole manager of aircraft peculir Class IX repair parts within the
division. This function will be accomplished utilizing the tactical Army CSS computer
system (TACCS) or like follow-on system by the supply platoon headquarters. Supply
platoon leader will be the aircraft Class IX supply officer for the division.
