b. Capabilities. On a 24-hour basis, the MASH provides:
(1) Resuscitative surgery and medical treatment necessary to prepare
critically sick, injured, or wounded patients for further evacuation to definitive treatment
facilities.
(2)
Pre-operative and post-operative intensive care for a maximum of 60
patients.
(3) Surgical capability based on staffing to operate four rooms on the first
shift and two operating rooms on the second shift.
(4)
Laboratory, pharmacy and radiology services.
(5)
Organic laundry for hospital linens and unit-owned duty personnel work
garments.
c. Concept of Operations and Employment. The MASH is routinely
employed near the supported division's rear boundary. Mission accomplishment may
make it necessary to employ forward of the division is rear boundary under certain
conditions. The MASH has no formal evacuation policy, and length of stay is dependent
upon the patient is condition regarding stabilization for further evacuation and the
