c. The Combitube can be used in patients whose cervical spine has been
immobilized with a rigid cervical collar, though placement may be more difficult.
Ventilation does not seem to be affected by the rigid cervical collar if the Combitube is
emplaced.
d. The double lumen design allows for effective ventilations to be provided
regardless of whether the tube is placed in the trachea or the esophagus.
e. The Combitube comes in two sizes: 37 French and 41 French.
