(9) Amphetamines are not recommended for pregnant women. Annual
studies have suggested that the amphetamines are potentially embryotoxic and
teratogenic (tending to produce physical defects in the developing embryo).
(10) Amphetamines may decrease the hypotensive effect of guanethidine.
