Dichlorotetrafluorethane (Freon)

(1) Clinical uses. Dichlorotetrafluorethane is a nonflammable and non-
explosive agent for topical anesthesia of the skin. It is especially useful for localized
minor surgical procedures. This agent should not be sprayed on the skin for a period
that exceeds 45 seconds.

Forms available. Dichlorotetrafluorethane is available in a spray form.
