(2) The aviation (GS) company provides aviation support for the division
headquarters, DISCOM, and other units without organic aircraft. In addition, the
company provides limited GS and reinforcement to units with organic aircraft. The
company operates from the division-instrumented airfield, and it is normally employed
directly under the control of the battalion/ group headquarters.
