u. Logistics Division. The Logistics Division arranges for the acquisition,
storage, and distribution of equipment and supplies; provides for the repair of
equipment; and provides materiel and maintenance support to all elements of the
installation and satellite off-post activities. The Logistics Division is also responsible for
the following branches:
(1) Supply Management Branch. The Supply Management Branch can
organize the following six sections:
(a) The Inventory Management Section manages financial matters
relating to materiel and equipment and formal stock record accounts.
(b) The Storage and Distribution Section controls the receipt, storage,
inventory, preservation, and issue of all materiel included in the warehouse stocks.
(c)
The Materiel Management Section manages medical supplies and
equipment.
(d) The Data Conversion and Files Section maintains the centralized
files and records for the Supply Management Branch.
(e) The Customer Assistance Section helps units and activities in
resolving problems in the supply system.
(f) The Storage Section receives, stores, and issues expendable and
nonexpendable supplies and equipment.
(2) Property Management Branch. The property Management Branch can
organize the following five sections:
(a) The Document Control Section catalogs all non-medical items and
medical nonexpendable items.
(b) The Property Accounting and Control Section is responsible for
property accounting and control and for maintaining an automated data and information
systems.
(c) The requirements Management Section manage the MEDCASE
Program and manages funds for non-medical capital equipment.
(d) The Non-medical Consumable Supply Section operates a
distribution point for consumable non-medical supplies for the command.
(e) The Storage and Distribution Section provides pickup and delivery
service for the branch, temporary storage facilities for nonexpendable supplies and
equipment, and property disposal activities.
